Using Sitaaro

Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use Sitaaro (sitaaro.com), run by Navair Technologies Pvt Ltd, Mumbai, India. By using Sitaaro you agree to them.

Who can use Sitaaro

You must be 18 or older. You are responsible for everything done through your account, so keep your sign-in private.

What Sitaaro does

Sitaaro makes short personalised films. You can send a film free with your own words, or put a real person's face into a film by uploading a photo or taking a live selfie. Films with faces are made automatically with AI. Features may change, pause or stop.

Photos you upload: your responsibility

This is the most important part of these terms.

  • You may upload a photo only of yourself, or of another adult who has given you permission to use their photo for this film.
  • Each time you upload a photo, you confirm that: (a) the person is 18 or over; (b) it is you, or you have their clear permission; (c) you have the right to use the photo; and (d) the film will not harm, embarrass, mislead or misrepresent them.
  • You are solely and fully responsible for the photos you upload and the films made from them. Sitaaro acts on your instruction and does not check whether you have permission.
  • Our automatic checks may refuse a photo. They are a safety net, not a guarantee, and they do not move your responsibility to us.
  • When the other person is in a film you made, we may tell them and give them a private link to watch it or remove their photo.

What is not allowed

You must not upload or make:

  • anything showing a child;
  • a famous or public person, or anyone without their permission;
  • sexual, nude, intimate, violent, hateful or abusive content;
  • content that impersonates someone, deceives, defrauds, defames, harasses or threatens;
  • political, election or news content presented as real;
  • content that breaks any law or anyone's rights (privacy, image, copyright or trademark).

You must not pass off a Sitaaro film as a real recording, or remove or hide its AI label. You must not get around our safety checks, copy or scrape the site, or overload it.

If something goes wrong: you cover us

To the extent the law allows, you agree to cover Navair Technologies Pvt Ltd, its directors, staff and partners against any claims, losses, fines and costs (including reasonable legal fees) that arise from: a photo you uploaded; a film made from it; your breaking these terms; or your breaking anyone's rights or the law.

AI-made films are labelled

Every Sitaaro film with real-looking people is made with AI and carries a visible "Made with Sitaaro AI" label. It may also carry hidden information in the file showing it was made with AI, as India's Information Technology Rules require.

Ownership

  • Your photos stay yours.
  • You give Sitaaro and its technology partners permission to use them only to make, deliver and keep your film, check it, and keep Sitaaro safe, as set out in our Privacy Policy.
  • We delete the film 1 year after its first download (see our Privacy Policy), so keep your own copy. We are not responsible for films lost after deletion.
  • The finished film is for your personal use and sharing with family and friends. Commercial use (ads, business promotions) needs a Business film or our written permission.
  • The Sitaaro name, logo, original songs, scenes, actors' footage and software belong to Navair Technologies Pvt Ltd or its licensors.
  • AI films can look similar for different users. We do not promise a film is unique.

Paid films

Prices, delivery and refunds are on our Pricing, Delivery and Refunds pages and form part of these terms. Prices include GST. If we cannot make your film, you get a full refund. A film refused for breaking these terms is not refunded.

Reports and takedowns

Anyone can report a film at sitaaro.com/report or by writing to sitaaro.app@gmail.com. We remove non-consensual, intimate or sexual content within 24 hours of a valid report, and act on lawful government or court orders within 3 hours, as the law requires. We may remove any film, delete photos, suspend accounts and block repeat offenders, and, where the law requires, share information with the person affected or the authorities.

No promises about results

Sitaaro is provided "as is" and "as available". AI results vary: a face may not match perfectly and a film may contain mistakes. We do not promise the service will always be available or error-free. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law.

Limit on our liability

To the extent the law allows, Navair Technologies Pvt Ltd is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for what you or others do with a film. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the film concerned (for free films, nil). This does not reduce your refund rights.

Ending use

You can stop using Sitaaro and delete your account at any time by writing to us. We may suspend or end access for misuse, safety or legal reasons.

Law and courts

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra have jurisdiction, subject to any rights you have under mandatory law.
